於閱讀傳統書畫作品中理解書畫創作的特質與限制,比較西方藝術表現之間的差異性,並探索創作表現的可能性與當代書畫 創作的關係與發展趨勢。 This course aims to help the student: (a) gain knowledge about the characteristics and limitations of paintings and calligraphy in traditional Chinese works of calligraphy and paintings, (b) learn to appreciate the differences between Chinese and Western artistic ex<x>pressions, and (c) explore the potential of creative ex<x>pressions and the relationship and current trends of contemporary paintings and calligraphy.

Final creative work project: Ink and watercolor works as the focus; full- length or above (any format is fine). 2. Regular creative works and assignments: depends on the course topics and progression. 3. Assessment: Professional behavior (30%), regular creative works and assignments (50%), final creative work project (20%).
